Well, I absolutely loved this piece when I saw it and now I'm ever more exciting to see this great tutorial! I'm learning digital painting from a 3D background and it's a long road starting off and this is really great for me with all the information! I have been having problems with creating depth and everything looks flat. I know it's a matter of detail in the front and looser in the background and shading elements. This I need to work on. :) Thank you so much for providing this and I will definitely go over this in my studies! Most excellent indeed! :D

I guess this way to create background is simmilar with 3d - creating terrain and than only "planting" all you wanna see there ^^

Yes, I suppose you are right there. It's much different with a stylus and colors as opposed to models and instanced geometry, but you have a point there! The 3D engines render the shading for me and now I have to think for myself. Thanks again, I really enjoy this! :D
